Web Designer

Requirements:

Position Type:

Flexible employment options available as either a 1099 contractor or a W2 employee.

Remote Work:

This position is remote-friendly. However, you will be required to attend meetings in person in Washington, DC, either weekly or bi-weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Design visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive website layouts that comply with accessibility standards (508 compliance).
  • Create prototypes, mock-ups, and layouts for new concepts.
  • Ensure designs are adaptable across various devices while maintaining a modern and professional look.
  • Collaborate with developers to maintain design integrity throughout the development process.
  • Engage with the Customer Team to provide support, share ideas for improvements, and address design-related inquiries and feedback.
  • Lead the design process, proposing solutions, guiding overall design work, offering pros and cons for available options, and understanding design trends.
  • Have a thorough understanding of UI/UX best practices and accessibility standards, with a focus on web application design for both mobile and desktop platforms.

Front-End Developer

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in web development.

The position allows for remote work, but attendance at meetings in person in Washington, DC, either weekly or bi-weekly, is necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement new web designs within the existing site's CMS using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Ensure site responsiveness and functionality across standard browsers, including Workspace One by VMware.
  • Collaborate closely with the web designer to bring design concepts to life.
  • Conduct general testing and debugging, promptly addressing any issues encountered.
  • Provide support and insights, responding to inquiries about development from the Customer Team.
  • This role demands an understanding of UI/UX best practices and accessibility standards, with a focus on web application design for both mobile and desktop platforms.
